The Bar is downstairs with most of the dining/seating area upstairs. The decor is similar to Monopole and what do you know - it's from the same owners!
I have to say, the meal was delicious - every single dish was a symphony to my taste buds and though it's 'fine dining' the price tag after ordering so many dishes + one cocktail was only $218. I've been to some un-hatted restaurants and paid more!
I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed taking them and then eating the dishes =)
Obligatory shot of the bread!
We were seated right above, overlooking the bar and open kitchen area
The dining tables upstairs
Cute little amuse bouche - complimentary from the restaurant!
Had a special cocktail made from the bar - a mixture of Gin & Elderflower being the key ingredients I requested.
Selection of cured meats. Very good choice to start it all off!
The bread that accompanied the cured meats
Scallops + Foie Gras. My god, This is a definite must have dish. It was just sooo good!
Beef Tartare - it's a different sauce vs all the other ones. I don't mind it but isn't my favourite only because I enjoy the traditional Beef Tartare flavouring
Pork Cheek entree. Another must have dish - so tender & the semi crunchy toppings just really make the dish!
Quail Entree. Another must have - it's a very different way of cooking quail to what I'm used to (fried or marinated) and the white soy dressing really soaked in the flavour
Moreton Bay Bugs. The only main we ordered because we wanted to try out a whole bunch of the entrees. It was definitely a great choice and great way to finish off a lovely meal
