Galileo Restaurant Degustation - The Langham

First time coming to the Galileo Restaurant as part of the new Langham management (previously the Observatory Hotel). I got the Lime & Tonic deal that was an 8 course degustation so pretty excited to try it out!

The restaurant I think was quite new - with eager but seemingly inexperienced waiters who were still fumbling around as I entered. They were courteous of course, I just found them to be less sure of what they were doing.

The food came out in pretty good speed and presented nicely with an explanation from the waiters as well. Some pics below:

The restaurant set up

Pink Flowers - such a signature Langham touch!

The menu - love pink!

The amuse bouche

Starting off light with some seafood. Salmon was a nice cut and good way to get into the degustation!

I thought this dish was abit salty...

Loved the granita. It was a great palette cleanser!

Dessert was nicely arranged but I did feel that the fruit syrup was slightly too sweet and over-powering.

This was a very nice finish to the meal. Balanced out the sweeter panna cotta dessert before it
It was an enjoyable dinner. A lot of my friends who went said they really enjoyed it. I thought the food was average - but maybe I just had the bad day. Worth a visit especially on the Lime & Tonic deal
