Sokyo Sushi Making Class - October Good Food Month

It seems only befitting that I start my first entry with a post about food - fine food of course. One of my recent memorable outing was for the Sokyo Sushi Making Class - part of the October Good Food Month. 

The masterclass ($130 per person) was taken by the chef himself, complete with a trip to the Fish Markets as well as a tour of the restaurant kitchen. A very fun day, evidence below:

Firstly, they showed us how to make sushi rice. Must be placed in wooden bowl!

Okay back to the restaurant - my work station, ready to make some sushi!

Kingfish is actually really hard to slice. Mine kept breaking - but that's my hard work right there ready for garnishing!

Ta da... I'm proud nevertheless. At least my fillings all stayed in place hehe

My fave - Miso Cod. It's to die for - must try dish at Sokyo!

Lastly a special dessert the chef prepared for us

Contains a little liqueur ice cream and chocolate inside. Divine finish to a great meal!
