Mr and Mrs Bund - Shanghai

Went back to Shanghai for a visit to see my family whom I haven't seen in 13 years during the Easter Break 2014.

I've been meaning to visit this famous French restaurant for quite some time, heard really good reviews and of course one of the must visit fine dining destinations

Situated on the prestigious Bund and opposite the Fairmont Peace Hotel, Mr and Mrs Bund has a really cute red door entrance. Opens into a rather opulent setting, with a large group table in the middle. As expected, mainly expats there - alot of French people of course and a nice view out to the Bund.

We got the special supper menu - it's a heavily discounted menu with entree, main and dessert. But there's a lot of choice, do you're not missing out on good dishes if you opt for Supper.

Table settings. Love the black lacquer finishings

The restaurant - you can see the large group dining table towards the end

Delicious bread for the pate

More bread!

Special complimentary Tuna/Salmon Pate. Delicious & very buttery

For my entree, I ordered of course the Foie Gras with nuts encrusted on top

See - Foie Gras! It may look small but omg it is soo filling. And delicious!

On the table next to use, they have the sashimi chef carving out some Salmon Carpcaccio

My mum got the Scallops as a main. These are huge scallops and very well cooked, so tender and flavoursom

I got the frog and the foam on top was delicious too! I can't remember what it was called

Best frogs I've ever had! There was actually a lot of marinade on them, super tender (almost like really tender quail texture) and yep. Was stuffed after that!

My mum got a lemon curd item to finish off her meal

I got a strawberry compote yoghurt.

A must visit if you're ever in Shanghai. Really authentic French cuisine and a view of the Bund that is spectacular!
